Owner Leigh Ann Brown brings more than 18 years of hands-on experience in the pet care world, along with more than 26 years in professional leadership and project management. After years of fostering neonatal kittens, volunteering with shelters, and working in boarding facilities, she recognized the need for a true sanctuary designed exclusively for cats. Her vision was to create a place where feline guests feel calm, safe, and genuinely cared for—and where owners can travel with complete peace of mind.
That vision was also deeply inspired by Leigh Ann’s own rescue cats—Luna, Autumn, Willow, Kavi, and Donny—each of whom came into her life with unique challenges and now thrive under her care. Their resilience and personalities shaped the philosophy behind Smoky Mountain Purrfect Stay: every guest deserves comfort, compassion, and a sense of belonging. Today, Leigh Ann’s dedication ensures that every detail, from tranquil design to attentive care, reflects the same love she gives her own pets.
